Ooo, notebooks...

Mon Aug 31, 2009, 9:59 AM
  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: Angels and Demons OST (more in journal)
  • Reading: Moving Pictures - Terry Pratchett
  • Watching: Changeling
  • Playing: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • Eating: Chicken Tikka Masala
  • Drinking: Tea
I was clearing out my boxes recently (I have boxes to put my art materials/random hobby stuff/notebooks/sketchbooks/frames/envelopes etc in) and found some very old diaries... they went in the bin without a second glance, I can tell you :P

I also found, more importantly, some old Harry Potter fan fiction (written when I was about 12) and a couple of drafts of my original idea for a story, which I later realised was possibly utter rubbish...

But, it's all NaNo material, so it's presently sitting on my desk giving me evil looks because it consists of about 5 high quality notebooks with only a few pages used up. Faith needs to seriously use a notebook and keep using it... Yes, a book can give you evil looks, before you say anything.

I am presently practising my colouring techniques. So I got a kid's colouring book of animals from Sainsbury's and dutifully got out my pencils... turns out blue doesn't show up on scanners too well. I need to remember that for later use (I knew there was something about blue pencil, but I thought they had to be *special* blue pencil. Obviously not!) as it could prove useful in lineart. A couple of alerts will be those colouring practices, and I'm gonna set up a category soon of a sort of "practice" section; they're too good for me to scrap (bite me, I don't like putting things in scraps) but they shouldn't really be in my main section.

Also, why am I tempted to get premium membership? I doubt I'd use it, but I'm tempted nonetheless.

The red dragon is called Rodney. Thanks go to Doc Rossim for the name, I'll throw something his way later even if he doesn't want it :P

Angels and Demons OST; never seen the film, nor read the book, I just like that sort of church adventure music... imagine Indiana Jones swinging over an altar and you get my mentality (taking his hat off, of course; gotta show respect, even if you are attacking bad guys in a holy building). Sometimes I wonder what my music shows about me... then I go doodle a bit.

I can't think of anything else to ramble about now, but I'm sure other things will come to me later. Sorry for the excessive reading; you love it really.

Sorry... that Indiana Jones comment had me laughing. :P

And books do give evil glares. I see that mine have stopped since I dropped out of engineering...

Okay, now I'm really tempted to do a NaNo story about an adventurer who ends up, at one point, swinging over a church altar kicking bad guys out of stain glass windows and removing his hat when he sees the priest's look of horror XD

I appear to be surrounded in receipts. I have the day off tomorrow, so hopefully my room will be tidy by then and I can have a real sort out of my books :(

lol. I would read that.

The only thing that would end it off is when he looked at the priest, an awkward silence, broken by our whip swinging, hat wearing hero/in with an:

"Amen."

I'm writing that down right now... XD

The more NaNo ideas, the better! :D

I doubt you'd like my main NaNo novel thing... it's about a reincarnated cat that has to do jobs for Lucifer in an attempt to get his opposable thumbs back. It's all very tongue in cheek, but it's mainly a dig about how bad cats are at things XD I didn't come up with the idea, I just developed it :( (Don't hurt me?)

lol.

Sounds interesting! I think the concept would go down very well with a friend of mine... ~gRiM-LW You must look at some of her comics and such.

My cat would be the best protagonist ever... clumsiest, most ungraceful and most sadistic feline you'll ever lay eyes upon.

It should go down well with people who enjoy a bit of a laugh and don't mind a harmless joke at religion's expense! :D

It's a white cat called Mouse... no idea why, it just fitted :D

I found a barely used notepads recently, which is off because I usually use up every inch of space in a notepad before I start another one, so it must have been one I thought I'd lost.

You know, I was wondering what the flutterbys were all about...

There is subliminal messaging in the site that tries to get you to get a premium account. I am immune to subliminal messaging, because I think to slowly for it to work on me.

I don't deserve anything for the name!

I've never even heard of "Angels and Demons: OST"
I thought OST was some kind of stress disorder.

You know when the film "Omens" was released? I kept thinking it would have been such a good time for "Good Omens" the movie to be released. Starring Pierce Brosnen as Crowley and Peter Davidson as Aziraphale.
:iconfaithful-jewel:
Brosnan? He's too clean cut... Colin Farrell all the way :P

No clue who Davidson is. Chuck me a link and I might recognise him (Still think Sean Bean would be a good fit, if a bit too rough. Pick up an iron...)

OST = Official Sound Track :D

I don't have any money atm, so the thought of buying premium membership will soon pass...

Peter Davidson is a former Doctor Who. He'd have to put on a camp voice and maybe a wig as his hair is thinning nowerdays but otherwise he's quite a good match for Az's description in the book. He's actually not all that good a match for the role, he was really the only person I could think of though, don't know if you can think of a better match, I think Saun Bean would be a bit too masculine for the role really...

OST, ah I get it now.

Ah, lack of money is a great demotivator.
