I want an idea

I've realised I'm pretty crap at cartoony art, but I still want to do a webcomic... so I want to have a shot at a different sort of style.

And seen as someone, naming no names, is about as responsive as a dead duck, I've given up on even attempting LT3 any more. But I'm utter rubbish at coming up with ideas that last longer than 15k written words...

So this is an open call. Anyone fancy colaborating on a comic sort of thing with me?

Writing the plot/script, sharing the writing task, both drawing different chapters or whatver... your choice.

I hate sitting here doing nothing when I want to be creative. An idea for more of a "gritty" comic would be ideal, but I just need to do something XD

I spit out the occasional short and usually pretty dark plot now and then... but like I said: Occasionally. In fact, I finished one and posted it on FA, but not here... hmmmm.

Maybe in a bazillion years when TC is finished we can join forces and dominate the webcomic universe as we know it!

How long will it take to finish? I would be quite willing to fly down there and stand over you with a stick to make you finish it!

I just need ideas... I'm so rubbish at them and I need practice in trying to get characters right and stuff XD

I'll post it now quickly. It's a short plot, but I've refined it over a couple years. I have big ideas for comicing it one point.

I've just finished it. Tis very very good... the sort of thing I read/write (yeah, you said it was kinda macabre; that's what I'm like).

One thing made me think Anthro, which was "pricked up her ears" but that was it

it leans either way.

I'm a sucker for dark plots with a twist and a bit of irony, with unrequited love thrown in

See, I wrote that line, and then wondered if the action could apply to humans... I write anthro without thinking

I wanna make that a comic one day, but I want others in a similar vein eventually.

I can think of short ideas, hence I can write lots of short stories with no problem at all. It's making a comic last more than 20 pages that gets me...

And for some reason I'm tempted to try Anthro. *Shakes fist*

Silent Running by Mike and the Mechanics is a good song. It's on the radio atm... might do a short comic as soon as I can draw again (stupid thumb) along that theme...

Dark plots ftw. Twists ftw. Irony... it's not just to do with metal

Love it.

Dooooo it! Even if anthro doesn't suck you in like it did me, it's a nice style to try. I'm finding Anime/manga so stale. Everyone does it. Hell, even some of my stuff was manga inspired for a bit.

I find music VERY inspiring. It puts images in my head that then make me wanna get a story out if it

Also, if something has a wicked cool or melodic guitar riff, I try capture it in a plot. Visually capturing a mood from music is hard

Hence, if you watch the video I linked in the artist comments while reading the plot, you'll see what I'm trying to achieve.

Funny thing is, I don't enjoy metal

Never been keen on Coldplay. I'll listen when I get home.

I split my thumb tip open. Dry skin then just went "pop" and cue bleeding and pain...

I'm rubbish with people XD I've always been significantly better at animals... so combine the two... ta da
